rusty bus

forever parked

out front

of boarded windows

chipped paint

tire-swing

hangs

from dead sickamore

I thought I heard a child playing..

when I turn my head

empty yard

quiet sky

the only life

raccoon carcass

drawing flies

I hear a child playing

I hear

laughter
