Bangs #8: Birds & Bees
Some things don’t need to be spelled out. They’re whispered behind closed doors, sung about in bad pop songs, scribbled in the margins of a diary. They happen in the dark, in broad daylight, in our heads before anywhere else. It’s the glance held a second too long. The breath caught in your throat. The almost, the not-yet, the maybe-never.
For our eighth issue, BANGS is leaning into the unspoken, the undeniable—the pull, the spark, the tension between want and have, between touch and restraint. We want work that simmers, that lingers in the space between longing and indulgence. Tell us about first flutters and lasting heat, about the chase, the hesitation, the words left unsaid. Show us connection, vulnerability, power, play—the ways we come together and the ways we fall apart.
How does desire shape us? How does it haunt us? How does it set us free?
No need to be shy. We’re all ears.
